THE TRASH MENAGERIE

Nashville Mini Maker Faire 2013

Come one! Come all! A collection of creatures made entirely from trash, The Trash Menagerie.  With the help from Nashville's first Mini Maker Faire in 2013 we constructed the first installment of The Trash Menagerie.  Papers, bits, stickers, fasteners of twist ties are all game to be manipulated into imaginary creatures.  Faire goers were asked to use scraps, fragments that would otherwise be discarded with out a second thought as inspiration and base. Becoming aware of what goes through our hands daily, even the small and mundane, helps us to be more conscious inhabitance.  Noticing and reimagining are tools we could all use in our hectic lives.
