Artists’ books are a beautiful, endlessly adaptable way to create with a mixture of image, structure, and words. In this workshop, creative reuse artist Courtney Adair Johnson will help you create an accordion-fold book with four swinging panels that will open to the viewer when fully displayed. A hardcover front and back will make this a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. In addition, writer Susannah Felts will guide you through simple, fun writing prompts to create text you may incorporate into that book structure. Most materials will be provided, but you’re encouraged to bring materials of significance to you and any journals or other writing that may prove inspiring for your written content. Cross-listed in Special Topics.
